| "Louis-Francois Cassas a travelling artist, visited Cyprus in 1785 and produced a series of watercolours and pen-and-ink drawings. In 2002 Philippe Delord , himself a great traveller and artist replicated Cassas's tour and visited Cyprus to produce his own artwork inspired by history and present day reality. A fascinating comparison now exists with the same views separated by a span of two centuries. In addition to those same views Delord branches out and visits everyday Cyprus , The particularly colourful watercolours adorn the pages and with it text from Christine Demiller . This is a momento of Cyprus that surpasses many of the photographic books depicting Cyprus , giving a more detailed and colourful insight to Cyprus ancient and modern."
