In the framework of the Kypria International Festival 2004 organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture, and under the auspices of the Greek Embassy, HathorArt Productions presented the world premiere of Poetic Symphony "Hamathen" by Christos Pittas for symphony orchestra and vocal soloists.

The Work was performed by the Athens State Orchestra conducted by Nicos Tsouchlos, the renowned singers Angelo Simos, tenor, Kyros Patsalides, baritone and a female vocal ensemble.

The music composition of Hamathen was based on lyrics by Roy Papangelou , excerpts from his poetic trilogy on the Cyprus tragedy.

The concert opened the Kypria Festival and was performed for one night only.

It was a major music event which took place in collaboration with Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall , where "Hamathen" will be performed in May 2005.
