Chico, the founder and singer-songwriter of the famous Gypsy Kings, performed with other gypsy singers. As Special Peace Envoy for UNESCO, and living symbol of the convergence of cultures, Chico came to Cyprus to lend his voice towards peace, tolerance and compassion. Chico's vision of creating a 'musical chain of peace', with each link being placed in different cities of the world, has become a reality through his conviction of the universality of gypsy music;the reverbations of which have travelled the world and touched nations, young and old, with its passion, warmth and depth.

The Concert was organised in collaboration with the Youth Board and Ministry of Education & Culture - Cultural Services and within the framework of the Kypria International Festival 2002.
