The Zintilis Collection of Ancient Cypriote Art
In May 2004, the T. N. Zintilis Collection of Cypriote Antiquities, opened its doors at the N.P. Goulandris Foundation Museum of Cycladic Art. The collection is on loan for 25 years and it comprises 840 artefacts made of stone, clay, glass, falence, bronze, silver and gold representing Cypriote civilization from the Chalcolithic to the Byzantine period.

The Collection provides an insight into the culture of the island by providing artefacts from the history of Cyprus . Amongst the exhibits are stone cruciform figurines of the Chalcolithic period, composite ceramic wares and plank figurines of the Bronze Age, typical vases of the Iron Age, lamps and metal objects of various dates, as well as a large range of glass vessels.

The jewellery constitutes one of the finest parts of the Collection. A large number is dated to the Cypro-classical period, with some pieces for the Hellenistic and Roman times.

The Exhibition has been organised by the Museum of Cycladic Art in Greece and is promoted by HathorArt Productions in Cyprus.
