Philippe Delord

1961 Born in Lyon.

1980 - 1984 Studied graphic design in Paris.

1985 Obtained a scholarship from the Franco-Quebecois Youth Office. He went for three months to Nouveau-Québec
(Labrador). His report on native American Indians and Eskimos obtained the first prize in the competition « Youth Adventure Québec».

1986 - 1996 He worked in a design agency as a graphic designer and then as Artistic Director.
Parallel to that he continues his work on travel logs (Iceland , Prague , Jordan , Egypt , France.)

1997 Trip to Yemen.
On his return an exhibition of a hundred of his works was held at the Embassy of Yemen in Paris.

1998 - 2000 Multiple trips to Alexandria for the project «Alexandrie, sur les pas de Louis-François Cassas».

2001 Publication by Gallimard of the book «Alexandrie, sur les pas de Louis-François Cassas».

Trip to the Red Sea and Djibouti for the project «Sur les Routes d'Henry de Monfreid».

2002 September - first trip to Cyprus.

Exhibition in Cyprus and in other countries on his travel log of Alexandria.

2002 - 2004 Multiple trips to Cyprus for the project «Carnet de voyage de Chypre, sur les pas de Louis-François Cassas».

October 2004 Publication of the book «Cyprus, in the footsteps of Louis-Francois Cassas by Philippe Delord».

Exhibition at the Leventis Municipal Museum.
